Downtown Miami Architecture Exploration

After my adventure discovering Bayfront Park and the Miami Riverwalk (Discovering Bayfront Park and the Miami Riverwalk) I headed back home through downtown and deviated and explored a little to find cool buildings in downtown Miami. I’ve done this before so I had a few favorites already. I am going to keep the words short and post mostly pictures with some info about their location and possibly the name of the buildings if I know it.

I do have to say first that downtown Miami has a cool energy about it with a lot of people walking around during the day, tons of small shops with everything from jewelry to discount clothes and luggage. There also are tons of restaurants down there- some that I have heard about and want to try and others waiting to be discovered. I want to spend some more time soon checking out the different shops and restaurants. But today was about the architecture. Below are my architecture discoveries in downtown Miami.

Freedom Tower (600 Biscayne Blvd)

200 S Biscayne Blvd

Gusman Center for the Performing Arts (174 E. Flagler St)

Old U.S. Post Office and Courthouse (100 NE 1st Ave)

Seybold Building (36 NE 1st Ave)

Dade County Courthouse (73 W Flagler St)

Gesu Catholic Church (118 NE 2nd St)

Old U.S. Federal Courthouse (NE 1st Ave and NE 3rd and 4th Ave)
